Sometimes it’s hard for Christian to believe he’s in North Carolina. Christian is an 18-year-old drama student at UNCSA in Winston-Salem. He was born in Brooklyn and raised in Flushing, Queens. However, he now lives in Long Island with his parents who are both Officers with the NYPD, and a sister who attends Penn State. Since his first musical, The Wiz, he knew he had to be a part of the entertainment industry. After performing in that musical, he played Danny Zuko in Grease, where his passion for being on stage was ignited. He start performing at his church, The Brooklyn Tabernacle. The church is noted for its Grammy Award winning choir. As a teenager he went to Holy Trinity Diocesan High School. Throughout his four years there he was part of the Holy Trinity’s Select Choir, Dance Company, and Repertory Theatre Company. As a junior/senior he sought out colleges that would further enhance his craft. He was accepted to The University of Connecticut’s BFA Acting Program and also to their BFA Puppetry Program. With those successes, he also auditioned at The University of North Carolina School of The Arts. He was accepted while spending a week long trip in London, his first trip across the pond. He could only say about this acceptance that “I felt blessed. So far, attending UNCSA is the best decision in my life. As a first year drama student I have learned so much that has helped me become a better actor, performer, and a young adult.”
