Ever since Andrew Wilson Williams was a young boy, he has enjoyed exploring the universe and the many mysteries within it with his telescope. Williams, age 16, has an equal love for acting, and has been acting professionally since age 8, when he landed his first feature role as Matthew McConaughey’s son, David Lengyel, in We Are Marshall. He went on to star in three feature films, including Season of Miracles, Grim Reapers, and In Gramps’ Shoes, and had featured roles in Secrets in the Fall, Demon Lake, and Eye of the Hurricane. He has also done various commercials, music videos, and community theatre productions. Williams is featured as the smarmy boyfriend in rising country/pop music star Analise Malick’s new music video, “Not”, that debuted on Feb. 4. Eye of the Hurricane, a feature film Williams shot in St. Mary’s, Georgia, was shown on the Starz network, while In Gramps’ Shoes, in which Williams plays the lead character of Scott Douglas, was shown on Parables TV.
His older brother, Ryan Patrick Williams, is also an actor, and Andrew credits Ryan for getting him involved in the business. As a sophomore at Robertsdale High School, Williams is captain of the Junior Varsity Scholars Bowl Team, a member of the Model United Nations team, Concert Choir, and the Guitar and Piano Ensemble. He has won awards as premier speaker of Baldwin County’s Model United Nations competition and Outstanding Delegation. He was the Baldwin County Spelling Bee Champion for four years, beating thousands of students to represent the county at the state level. He is a lay Eucharistic minister, server, acolyte and Sunday school teacher at his church, Immanuel Episcopal in Bay Minette, Alabama.
